2023 Capex Trends: CEOs Expect 2023 Improvements In Heavy Oil Differentials

Driving recent, persistent widening of differentials between WTI and WCS are global issues, reports the DOB’s latest guidance report.
Those issues differ from previous years in Alberta where wider differentials were being driven by pipeline constraints out of the province, says Alex Pourbaix, president and CEO at Cenovus Energy Inc.
Today’s guidance report captures updates announced by producers during the period of Oct. 31 to Nov. 11.
