Canadian Energy Sector Lost 23,600 Jobs In Second Quarter: StatsCan
The oil and gas industry was hard hit with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the second quarter of 2020 with the energy subsector accounting for 23,600, or nearly half, of the 43,000 jobs lost in the natural resources sector, according to Statistics Canada.
