Q1 Rig Release Results Include Weaker March Tallies
Producers rig released 1,784 wells across Canada in the first quarter of 2020, excluding experimental holes, an increase of 17 per cent from 1,522 wells drilled in Q1 2019 — although the stats for March indicate the coming drilling decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lower oil prices.
