OFS Company Formed To Harness Economic Development in Wood Buffalo

New company Acden Bravo Target will offer emergency response and industrial safety services in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Acden and Bravo Target Safety announced the partnership on Thursday.

The new partnership will provide economic and employment benefits in the Wood Buffalo region.

Acden is one of Canada’s largest Aboriginal companies that provides essential services for operators, constructors and producers of resource, energy, environmental and construction projects. Acden has been providing essential services for the planning, construction, maintenance and reclamation for 25 years.

Bravo Target Safety is a provider of industrial and oilfield emergency response and safety services. Headquartered in Calgary, Bravo Target Safety has facilities in Bonnyville, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lloydminster and Red Deer.

Garry Flett, president and CEO of Acden, said the objective is to harness the economic development of the oilsands for the benefit of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) people.

Kevin O’Brien, CEO, Bravo Target Safety, said: "As we expand our presence in the region, we will work with local Indigenous communities to create long-term employment opportunities."
