CSUR Presents 2016 Advanced Technology Workshop - April 28, 2016

DEEP BASIN UNCONVENTIONAL RESERVOIRS: Profitability in a low price environment.

This year's ATW focuses on the emerging Deep Basin Resource Plays that have attracted considerable industry attention in this low price environment. Three of the top 6 North American Oil Resource Plays, as defined by half-cycle payout, reside in the Deep Basin and include the Dunvegan, Belly River and Spirit River formations. These units will be the focus of this session.

The workshop will include presentations from industry, consulting firms and academics combined with several hours of core examination and discussion at the AER Core Research Centre. This format will provide attendees the unique opportunity to integrate the practical with the theoretical, as it will include multi-disciplinary subject matter; from macro play analysis to geological modelling, sedimentary environments, well completion strategies and production/reservoir analysis.

In this current environment of low commodity prices, resource play selection combined with the relevant information and technologies that can increase efficiency and productivity are essential. This workshop is intended to fill that requirement.
