Alberta Sees Slight Deficit Forecast Reduction And 25K More Jobs In 2016-17 Q2 Fiscal Update

Alberta’s economic situation has improved slightly, according to this week’s 2016-17 second quarter fiscal update, but the province is still projecting a hefty deficit as it awaits news on pipeline projects that if approved could provide a much needed boost for the energy sector and investments into Alberta.
