Ontario Shuts Another Coal Plant, To Convert Atikokan To Biomass

(Reuters) -- Ontario shut the 211-megawatt Atikokan coal-fired power plant on Tuesday as part of the province's plan to stop burning coal to generate power by 2014, the government of Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty said in a release Wednesday.
