    Three years after Alberta faced its worst recession in decades, as a result of plummeting oil and gas prices, a senior executive with a division of one of Canada’s largest construction companies says he’s concerned about an impending serious skilled labour shortage in the province.

  2. Enbridge Line 21 Hearing Set For Oct. 23

    A National Energy Board (NEB) hearing will begin Oct. 23 in Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories on an application from Enbridge Inc. to replace a 2.5 kilometre segment of its Line 21, approximately 10 kilometres east of Fort Simpson.

  3. Preferred Sands In Sale Of Blair Facility To Source Energy Services

    Preferred Proppants, LLC has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of its Blair, Wisconsin facility and its Canadian assets  to Source Energy Services Ltd. for US$80 million in cash, subject to closing and post-closing adjustments, and entering into a production payment agreement in respect of certain exploration rights in the Peace River Valley of Alberta.
