  • Correction - Jan. 25 Land Sale Article

    The Bulletin advises of an error in the Jan. 26 publication concerning the results of the Alberta Crown land sale on Jan. 25. At the sale a total of 348 522 hectares were sold (not 588 257 as published) and the average price per hectare was $1,083.64 (not $1,012.74 as published).

    In an article in the Wednesday Jan. 18 DOB, "Alberta Studying Value Chain To Gain Maximum Benefits From Resources" Dr. Soheil Asgarpour is quoted as saying 20 bcf per day will flow through the province from Alaska and the Mackenzie Delta.

  • Correction - VGS Acquisition

    The Bulletin advises of an error in the index of headlines published in Wednesday's paper copy of the Daily Oil Bulletin. The headline incorrectly identified "Veritas" as the purchaser of Intercontinental Seismic Surveys Ltd. In fact, as the article on page six stated, the buyer of Intercontinental is VGS Database International Inc.

  • Correction - Bonnett's Financing

    The Bulletin advises of an error in yesterday's (Dec. 5 issue) concerning Bonnett's Energy Services Trust closing of a $28 million financing. The article listed Western Partners Inc. as a member of the syndicate of underwriters. The correct name for the underwriter is Westwind Partners Inc.

  • Correction

    The Nov. 17 Bulletin reported Enterra Energy Trust's third-quarter cash flow after changes in non-cash working capital items. The standard way of reporting cash flow is before changes in non-cash working capital items, which means Enterra's cash flow should have been reported as $23.94 million.

  • Minnesota Pipeline Clarification

    The 24-inch pipeline proposed by the Minnesota Pipe Line Company (DOB, Sept. 22, 2005) will not only allow the system to transport another 100,000 bbls per day immediately upon completion but will provide flexibility for future expansions.

    In an article "Eden Provides Nevada Update" published in the Sept. 14 Daily Oil Bulletin, the ninth paragraph states that Eden Energy Corp. has oil and gas leases totalling approximately 11,000 acres. The correct figure is 211,000 acres.

    In yesterday's Daily Oil Bulletin, the article on Trinidad Energy Services Income Trust incorrectly referred to the company several times as "Trinity". The article has been corrected in the online version of the Daily Oil Bulletin.

  • Correction

    In an article in the July 5 DOB, projected production numbers for the Nexen Inc. and OPTI Canada Inc. were incorrectly reported as 180,000 bbls per day beginning in 2007. The first phase of the project is estimated to produce 72,000 bbls per day (gross) of bitumen resulting in 58,500 net bbls per day of synthetic crude oil and products once ramp-up is complete in 2008.

  • Correction - Anadarko View Of LNG Outlook

    A story in last Thursday's Daily Oil Bulletin incorrectly stated that Anadarko Petroleum Corporation has forecast surplus processing capacity among North American LNG facilities beginning in 2010. In a presentation to investment analysts, Anadarko's Dave Anderson predicted that export-related natural gas liquefaction capacity will move into surplus in the Atlantic basin by that year. The company forecasts that LNG regasification capacity at receiving terminals in eastern North America will remain tight well past 2010.

  • Correction

    A story in yesterday's Daily Oil Bulletin incorrectly reported gas production from specific formations in Saskatchewan as the province's total output. In his presentation, Robin Mann of ajm Petroleum Consultants actually indicated production from Upper Colorado-age zones [primarily the Milk River formation] has increased to about 145 mmcf a day from 20 mmcf a day in 2000. This reversed what would otherwise have been a decline in the province's total gas output.

  • Correction - Apache CBM Production Is 50 Mmcf A Day

    The Daily Oil Bulletin advises of an error in the Jan. 28 issue which reported that Apache Canada Ltd. was producing 96 mmcf a day of coalbed methane from its Canadian assets at the end of 2004.

    The Daily Oil Bulletin advises of an error in the Taylor Gas Liquids Ltd. article published in the Jan. 6 edition of the newsletter. The first monthly distributions will be 5.5 cents per limited partnership unit, not 55 cents per unit as published yesterday.

  • Clarification

    In the Nov. 19, 2004 Daily Oil Bulletin, geologist Dave Russum of AJM Petroleum Consultants was quoted as predicting Alberta's gas production could fall by three per cent in 2005 and by five per cent a year to 2016. He was referring to conventional production. He expects Canada's conventional gas output in 2016 will be 4.3 bcf a day below 2002 levels, partly offset by 2.2 bcf a day of unconventional gas (primarily from Alberta) for a net shortfall of 2.1 bcf a day -- 5.5 bcf a day lower than a National Energy Board's forecast for 2016.

  • Correction

    In the paper edition of the Nov. 4 Daily Oil Bulletin, Devon Energy Corporation's year-over-year revenues should be $2.27 billion (U.S.), not $2.27 million as reported. Also, year-to-date sales rose to $6.72 billion from $5.43 billion, not $6.72 million and $5.43 million as reported. Finally, year-to-date out was a gross 114 million bbls of oil equivalent, not 114 million BOE per day. Correct information appeared in the electronic, on-line version of the DOB.

  • Pembina Clarification

    A story entitled: "Pembina Plans For New NGL Pipeline Underway" suggested higher tolls on the Alberta system increased revenue by $44 million. The number is in fact the total revenue for the Alberta system during the quarter.

  • Correction - New Brunswick Land Sale

    Only two parcels were sold at the Oct. 26 New Brunswick land sale, not three as reported in the Oct. 29 issue of the Daily Oil Bulletin. High bidders remain Petroworth Resources Inc. and Contact Exploration Inc., respectively.

    David Hamilton has been appointed to the National Energy Board as a temporary member for a two-year term with responsibility for the Mackenzie Valley gas pipeline project. A permanent member has not yet been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Jean-Paul Théorêt who has been named chairman of the Régie de l'énergie in Quebec.
