Annapolis Capital Limited announces the appointment of Ms. Jodi Roworth and Mr. Johannes Thiessen.

Annapolis Capital Limited is pleased to announce that Ms. Jodi Roworth joined the firm assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Roworth brings with her 22 years of experience in the professional services industry and the Canadian oil and gas sector. She brings with her an abundance of experience in taxation, tax planning, tax accounting, financial reporting, and accounting for both private and public corporations in the oil and gas industry, including M&A, due diligence, re-structuring and domestic and international operations. She has worked with senior leadership in a service provider role and as a business advisor at the C-suite and board levels.

Ms. Roworth most recently held the position of Partner at KPMG LLP, since 2005, where she was responsible for managing a team in the area and was responsible for taxation and other business aspects for her clients, primarily in the oil and gas sector. Prior to joining KPMG in 1997, Ms. Roworth was Senior Financial Accountant at Stampeder Exploration Ltd.

Ms. Roworth graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (Honor Beta Gamma Sigma) in 1994 from the University of Calgary, and received the Chartered Accountant designation in 1997. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants – Alberta (CPA Alberta) and completed Level III and Corporate Reorganizations of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Courses. She has been part of numerous mentorship programs and was recognized as one of Calgary’s Top 40 under 40 in 2007 for her contributions professionally and in the community.

Annapolis Capital Limited is pleased to announce that Mr. Johannes Thiessen has joined the firm, assuming the position of Senior Technical Advisor. Mr. Thiessen brings to Annapolis his broad based knowledge of oil and gas exploration and development activities across North America, with particular expertise in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. He is a Professional Geologist with more than 30 years industry experience in technical, research and management positions.

Mr. Thiessen has an accomplished record with a series of successful companies during his career. Most recently he was Senior Vice President of a private exploration and development company. Prior to that, he was with Bonavista Energy Corporation. Over a 14 year period, Mr. Thiessen had key roles in the evolution and growth of the company in technical and management positions, including Senior Vice President, Exploration and Senior Vice President, New Ventures.  Prior to Bonavista he spent five years with a high growth public start-up exploration company.

Mr. Thiessen’s career began in 1981 with Shell Canada as an exploration geologist. During 12 years with Shell Canada he was assigned increasing responsibilities as area Exploration Team Lead and Supervisor, Geological Research.

Mr. Thiessen graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc (Honours) in Geology and is a member of The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He also holds membership in the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (CSPG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
